St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School has agile learning spaces to cater to diverse learning needs, a flexible approach to playground spaces, and a Bush Tucker garden for students to nurture and learn from.
At St John the Baptist every classroom has state of the art technology at their fingertips. Classroom environments are child centred, very well resourced and air conditioned. The school has outdoor learning areas on both campus sites.
The school employs specialist teachers in; PE, Music, Learning Support and Library.
Playground Facilities
Students at St John the Baptist have access to three designated play areas . The main playground includes the grass area outside the Church on the hall side of the school, playground on school office side and Jacka Park. Students play daily at Jacka Park during lunch under the close supervision of qualified teachers. Students whilst at the park, have the opportunity to play a variety of games with the school’s sport equipment.
The main playground on the hall side of the school is utilised before school, recess and whilst students eat their lunch. This area features a covered sun safe area; perimeter seating; marked basketball court and handball courts; oversized chess board with large playing pieces and painted playground games. The main playground also contains a quiet shaded area with large leafy trees.
Extra Activities
St John the Baptist students have wonderful opportunities to attend a plethora of lunchtime activities and private lessons. Free lunchtime activities include; Garden Club, Technology Club, Choir, Library, Kids Club and Lego Club. Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
